PROBLEM STATEMENT

Fragmented Logistics and Vulnerable Vendor Management

Create a single, easy-to-use platform that handles vendor signups, live driver tracking, customer updates, and order management, removing delays and building trust for everyone involved.

Centralize Logistics, Streamline Onboarding, and Ensure Trackability

Design an all in one digital logistics ecosystem that unifies vendor onboarding, fleet tracking, CRM management, and customer delivery updates into a single transparent interface eliminating operational bottlenecks and building end to end trust.

RESEARCH

Understanding Multi-Party Logistics Friction

To figure out why deliveries fail and security falls short, we interviewed drivers, sellers, and dispatch managers. We also reviewed existing dispatch tools to see where communication breaks down and where orders get lost.
We reviewed real delivery routes, signup forms, and status reports to spot security gaps. The data showed that weak identity checks during vendor signup and scattered tracking tools were the main causes of missed dispatches and wrong deliveries.

Key Findings on Operational Gaps and Security Risks

Frequent Delivery Delays: Over 45% of late deliveries happened because managers had to manually call or message drivers and vendors on separate channels just to get updates.
Weak Signup Security: Without a clear way to verify vendors when they join, unauthorized people were picking up orders, leading to higher return rates and unhappy merchants.

USER JOURNEY

From Order Creation to Secure Delivery

Order Creation & Dispatch Routing: A customer or seller enters the order details, and the system automatically picks the best route and assigns a verified local driver.
Secure Driver Verification: Prior to order handoff, drivers complete an instant QR/identity check at the vendor hub, preventing unauthorized pickups and ensuring item security.
Real-Time Fleet & CRM Tracking: Logistics managers monitor driver progress, route efficiency, and delivery status live on the centralized CRM dashboard with instant exception alerts.
Confirmed Handoff & Auto-Settlement: Upon final delivery confirmation via OTP or digital signature, the platform updates order completion status and automatically triggers vendor payout processing.

DESIGN SYSTEM

A modular design system was created to unify the platform across shippers, drivers, and vendors. Primary Font: Inter was selected for maximum legibility when scanning tracking IDs, status alerts, address details, and dense data tables. Color System Bright Orange: Primary actions, dispatch triggers, and live delivery highlights. Emerald Green: Verified handoffs and completed payouts. Alert Red: Security flags and route delays. Soft Blue: Active transit states.

DESIGN IMPACT & REFLECTION

Measuring the Platform's Impact

Faster Order Processing: Dispatch times dropped significantly because managers no longer had to call drivers and vendors individually to confirm pickups.
Fewer Lost & Delayed Packages: Mandatory driver check-ins and live route tracking cut down on incorrect deliveries and unauthorized handoffs.
Better Vendor Onboarding: Streamlining identity checks during signup helped genuine merchants get verified and start shipping products much faster.

Key Takeaways from Designing Multi-Party Platforms

Designing for Different Contexts: A single platform must adapt to distinct user needs drivers require high-contrast, simple mobile actions on the road, while dispatch managers need dense, data-rich dashboards to monitor operations in real time.
